2013 OPEN DOOR STUDIOS
Artists of Evergreen
September 21st and 22nd, from 10 am to 5 pm

On September 21-22, 2013 the Open Door Studios will hold its 12th annual self-guided, road tour of the studios of artists in and around Evergreen. Open Door Studios is a well advertised and well attended annual event that provides prospective visitors with a full color tour booklet, which includes a location map, artists’ bios and photo of their work. Participants are then free to choose which studios they visit and enjoy a scenic tour of the Evergreen mountain area during the fall color season. The essence of the tour is to help the public understand the time, talent and techniques involved in the creation in each particular medium & genre. Artists have artwork available for purchase during the event.

There is no charge for the preview show, tour or reception. This is a fun and exciting weekend event for both artists and patrons.

Studios will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Many of our visitors make it a priority to visit as many studios as possible. We have several hotel and B&B lodging options in town so that you can make it a weekend adventure!

In addition, Evergreen National Bank in downtown Evergreen will host a show in their lobby for two weeks prior to the studio tour with an opening reception for the artists on Friday night, September 14th that is open to the public. This is always a fun evening with wonderful food and wine where the artists get to meet new patrons and give them a sneak preview of some of the available art.

Tour books and/or postcards will be available throughout Evergreen and surrounding towns. Postcards open to the map with legend for the artists and tour books have all of the artists' information and sample artwork in addition to the map. You will find books and postcards at galleries, restaurants and shops, major grocery stores and visitor centers. There will be signs all through Evergreen to help guide you to our studios.
