2015 OPEN DOOR
Artists of Evergreen
September 19-20, from 10 am to 5 pm
September 19-20, 2015 the Open Door Studios will hold its 14th annual self-guided,
road tour of the studios of many artists in and around Evergreen. Open Door
Studios is a well advertised and well attended annual event that provides prospective visitors with a
full color tour booklet, which
includes a location map, artistsí bios and photo of their work. Participants
are then free to choose which studios they visit and enjoy a scenic tour of the
Evergreen mountain area during the fall color season. The 2015 tour book will be available here to download mid June 2015.
The essence of the tour
is to help the public understand the time, talent and techniques involved in the
creation in each particular medium & genre by visiting our working studios. Each artist will be demonstrating throughout the weekend so you'll be able to see our tools and our process and watch us work! We welcome you to come talk with us and look around. No purchase is necessary although artwork is available for purchase during the event if there is something you'd love to take home.
There is no charge for the Preview Show, Studio Tour or Opening Reception. This is a fun and exciting weekend
event for both artists and patrons.
Our Call for Artists is Now Open! If you are an Evergreen artist who would like to enter the 2015 tour, please download the entry form and the prospectus through these links. Entries should be emailed to Jeannette Stutzman, our tour coordinator. Entries are juried.
Studios will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Many of our visitors make it a priority to visit as many studios as possible. We have several hotel and B&B lodging options in town so that you can make it a weekend adventure!
In addition, Evergreen National Bank in downtown Evergreen will host a September Preview Show in their lobby
for the weeks prior to the studio tour with an Opening Reception for the artists
on Friday night, September 18th that is open to the public. This is always a fun
evening with wonderful food and wine where the artists get to meet new patrons
and give them a sneak preview of some of the available art.
Tour books will be available throughout
Evergreen and surrounding towns. Tour books have all of the artists' information and sample artwork in addition to the map. You will find books at galleries, restaurants and shops, major grocery stores and visitor centers. There will be signs all through Evergreen to help guide you to our studios.
Maps, participating artists and sponsors are listed here on the web site.
